The PolyStar enclosures are some of the most durable and dependable enclosures offered by Stahlin. Manufactured with a polycarbonate resin which received the top rating of “F1” per UL 746C, it has been proven to provide ultimate protection from UV exposure and water immersion. This series has also been shown to withstand both indoor and outdoor conditions, such as splashing water, hose directed water, rain, sleet, and snow. Though these enclosures are fit for both indoor and outdoor utilizations, these were specifically designed with cold weather applications in mind. It has been recommended for use between -20 F to +240 F, but product integrity isn’t greatly affected until degrees of -40 F. As an added bonus, it also ensures impact and flame protection.

Another feature found in all Stahlin enclosures is the patented double-protection SolarGuard. SolarGuard is a non-halogenated fiberglass system known for its protection against outdoor exposure such as intense UV light. When manufactured with SolarGuard, fiberglass enclosures have been shown to withhold their gloss and color, even after being tested against direct, concentrated UV rays, due to the new, double-protection technology. The first layer of protection comes from the ability to reduce the effects of UV damage by absorbing and releasing the harmful UV energy, before it has the chance to degrade the enclosure exterior. The second layer of protection comes from the material itself. Fabricated with a stronger molecular bond, SolarGuard reduces the material’s ability to be broken down through UV exposure, all of which lengthens the life of the enclosure.
Also rated 3R, 4 4X, 12 per UL 50 and IP66 per IEC 60529, the user can be ensured by the material rating and product rating this these enclosures will last in almost all environments.
